Our privacy promise to your team
Last updated: 27 October 2026
When a company gives its people Breatheasy, we make a promise to every one of them: Breatheasy stays yours. Your employer pays for your Premium, but it never gets a window into your mind.
What your employer can never see
- Who joined. Not your name, your email address, or whether you're using Breatheasy at all.
- Anything you write or feel: your check-ins, moods, feelings, journal entries, notes and answers.
- Your conversations with Luma. These are stored on your phone only. Our server doesn't keep them.
- Your panic attacks, urges or anxiety checks, one by one, or anything that could be traced back to you.
- When or how often you use the app.
We will not give any of this to your employer, even if they ask. The only exceptions are the rare ones the law forces on any company, such as a valid court order, and even then we'll push back and tell you if we're allowed to.
What your employer can see
Your employer's dashboard shows:
- How many people have joined their plan, so they know how many spots are in use.
- Results for the group as a whole, from the last 30 days: for example, how many panic moments were worked through, how much panic eased on average, the average anxiety-check score, the share of calm or okay days, and the most common things that set off panic.
To keep everyone anonymous:
- Each result needs at least 10 people. Until at least 10 people have joined, the dashboard shows no results at all. Each result also needs at least 10 people who contributed to it; otherwise it says "Not enough people yet".
- Only time after you joined counts. Nothing from before you joined your employer's plan is ever included.
- Results are averages, totals and percentages, never lists, rankings or anything about one person.
Your account stays yours
- You create your own Breatheasy account with your own email address. It doesn't need to be your work email.
- You can leave your employer's plan at any time in Settings → Work code. You keep your account and your journal, and go back to the free version (or your own subscription).
- If you leave the company, the same happens: your account and journal stay yours.
- You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time in the app.
What we never do
- We never sell your data, show you ads, or share anything with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never use what you write to judge, rank or score you for anyone.
- We never let your employer contact you through Breatheasy.
How this fits with our Privacy Policy
Everything in our Privacy Policy still applies. This promise adds the rules above for anyone who joins through work.
